Adding Formula/cereal

My son is almost 7 months. He has been exclusively breastfed. We have been starting to add cereal and purée foods to his diet. Right now he only eats around dinner time. I have given cereal in a sippy cup with breastmilk and he loves it that way. But I’m having trouble finding the time to pump. Do you think it’s Okay to use formula instead with the cereal? He only drinks about an once of the milk/cereal. Are there any other suggestions?

  • The cereals are ideal as transitional foods, bcs they are adopted to baby's sensitive digestive system. You can prepare it with formula but no need. You can give it as a separate meal, especially since there are cereals with different flavors, your baby will probably like it. We get them at BuyOrganicFormula, they have a great choice of cereals with fruits and vegetables. Our favorite is Holle organic rice with pumpkin :)
